Bing & Grøndahl Christmas Plate – The Botanical Garden

A thick blanket of snow covers the Botanical Garden in Copenhagen. A friendly squirrel has found his way to the lawn in front of the old Palm House from 1874, where he enjoys the scenery and his favorite snack. This year, the motif of The Bing & Grøndahl Annual Plate Series, created by Dag Samsund, depicts the historic Botanical Garden in the centre of Copenhagen, where it has been located since 1870. The Annual Plate have been issued every year since 1895.
